In a unsucessful attempt to find the trouble with my van, I swapped ECU's. I was fortunate enough to have two extra ECU's lying around, so I pulled out the "original" ECU and went to plug in the other. Well, my two extra's looked similar and has the same part number, but my "orignal" ecu looked very different and had a different part number. Well, I plugged in the spare, and everything seemed to work like normal (normal to me now means it usually runs great, but sometimes dies). So, both ECU's work (and neither fixed my problem), but what gives. I posted a photo of the two units side by side so you can see what I'm talking about: http://www.math.utah.edu/~thornton/vanagon/ecu.jpg Blake 84 Westy SLC UT |
