The *single* high-mount brake light is a very good thing (and has been mandatory on all US cars since '86). But I just want to point out that the Vanagon lights are mounted in the normal position for passenger vehicles -- they are, for example, exactly as high as our '90 Corolla wagon's. The extra height of the van gives a sort of optical illusion that they're abnormally low, but they ain't. david
