Subject: I fried something (front heater blower)

Driving down the road yesterday in my 83.5 Water cooled vgon when I notice the front heater blower does not seem to be blowing very hard. Start to smell a burning smell, lasts for a few minutes then the blower stops working completely. As this happens, I notice that my high beam\low beam switch on the headlites no longer changes the brightness of the lights. I also see that when I turn on my turn signals, the headlite indicator dash bulb begins flashing in time with the turn signal, AND my backup lights are staying on whenever the ignition switch is on, OH SH*T, what did I do. Drove home and then after checking all the fuses (all appear fine), I started the bus again and I still have no heater blower or High beams, but the reverse lights are now off and the headlite indicator dash bulb no longer flashes with the turn signal indicator. Anyone have any ideas what I may have fried?? How much of a PITA is it to put in a new heater blower??
