Under no circumstances run the engine "dry"! There's no advantage to doing that with a diesel engine; the fuel is more stable than gas, and getting a diesel with a dry pump to start is a major pain! I would fill her up, to prevent any condensation in the tank. Change the oil. If you have jack stands, put the van up on them, particularly the cabinet side, to help ward of the "westy sag".

Any tips on storing a westy diesel for the winter it will be in a garage, mainly I would like to know about the engine I don't plan to start again until the spring. Do I fill the fuel or run the engine dry? should I fog the engine? Thanks Frank 82 westy diesel
