The main thing you need to ensure is that you can power them with 12 volts.

If they have a wall adapter, they may be able to be wired directly (with a serial fuse) to the 12 volt system - you'd have to know more about the circuit and what the adapter provides in terms of voltages and polarity etc.

If they are designed to be plugged in directly, - (don't have a separate power-pack) - the power supply is internal, and you'd better ensure that - if you bypass the ac-dc circuity - you do know what you are doing.

It is wise to contact an EE friend, or a technologist friend - before you hurt yourself or others by hacking into a power circuit.

Volks, Has anyone out there used any computer speakers for his/her Vanagon? The speakers are relatively inexpensive, sound pretty good, and can be pretty small. If you've done this kind of thing can you let me know what's involved? TIA, Arthur
