Subject: Tiico convert question.
Content-Type: text/plain

A question to all Tiico converts. Has everyone used the intake snorkel that is in the kit or have some left it off? If left off is there any real difference in the cabin noise? The snorkel looks awfully restrictive to me and to put it on there would detract from one of the main reasons for doing the conversion: More power. Has anyone sourced a K+N filter?

I have finally finished cleaning the engine compartment of an eighth of an inch of auto tranny fluid sludge and will hopefully be bolting my engine in this weekend.. I can't wait to fire her up.

I have not seen any Tiico posts in a while. How is everyone doing with their's?

Has anyone made any progress in terms of the California registration issue? Was it determined to not be an issue? I will be moving back to Tahoe in the spring so this is of great interest.... the referee is going to love me. I will be bringing my 85 Westy with the new conversion, as well as, my 83 Rabbit GTI with an 87 Scirocco 16 Valve in it.

Thanks.

Tim
