Subject: Air in the coolant system 87
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hey there,

I was wondering about the nature of air in the system. I just replaced a short hose and instead of bleeding the old fasion way I have ben driveing around untill it is hot, park on a hill nose up and crack the bleeder valve and let some bubbles out. I repeat the process several times untill no bubbles.

After the second time there were no bubbles and I thought that was stange. And back in the engine I noteced some coolant dripping from the thermastat housing unit. The unit is a year or so old. Could there be air traped in there or something?

Brian ( insanity due to coolant system)
