Couple weeks of fridge only in hot weather, twice that in cold weather. About 48 hours total burn time on one burner with a full tank, burner running at rated 5200 BTU/hr

Yes, put in the tee before you go camping! <g,d&r> RV places have a device called Extend-a-Stay that lets you tee in a BBQ tank ahead of the regulator and draw gas from it. Works great, but you have to rearrange the plumbing noticeably because the resulting assembly is ?3 inches? longer.

Alternative would be to fit your BBQ tank with an RV-type two-stage regulator and tee in downstream of the mounted regulator.
