For what it is worth I had an electric motor rewound for a juicing machine in my kitchen. the repair person replaced aluminum wires with copper and it made a huge difference. Apparently some motors and starters are made with aluminum wiring to save money but copper works much better. If you have it rewound consider replacing any aluminum even if it does not need it.
