Speaking of anti-seize (sorry, but this it on-topic), here's some hard-earned advice for all you diesel owners (you know who you are): Contrary to popular belief, you should NOT put anti-seize on every bolt on your engine. A diesel vibrates much more than a gas engine, and bolts with anti-seize can shake right out! The water pump/alternator bolts are particularly prone to this. Bottom line: If the Bentley manual say to use anti seize, use it. Otherwise, don't! Needless to say, if it says to use locking compound, definitely do that! As I mentioned, I learned this the hard way!

I know, it's stupid, but I've been meaning to mention.. you know it's not a good day to tool on your van when the you can't get the lid off your anti-seize lubricant.. I can't help but to think of this aweful and irrational situation everytime I pick up my bottle. How silly and stupid. You don't need to tell me. I know already.
