Brian, If you have a hack saw, and a welder, you can fabricate your own muffler for about $35.00, and maybe 2 hours time---- I sawed off the flange off the old muffler, went to a Walker muffler distributer, and he matched the Vanagon muffler almost perfect, minus the flange--I welded the flange onto the new muffler, and bolted it up---- Lifetime guarantee on the muffler---- He also bent me the tailpipe section for $5.00, and the price of the clamp---$1.50. $250.00 s way out of line---- And so are the vendor's prices---- Later, Terry <<<However to the point of my post it needs a muffler so they say and the price without labor I presumed, was $250. This was an itemized list so there was no labor on there yet. The bus depot has them listed as $109 or something. Should I get my bus out of there and bare the cold and figure this one out as well? have a good one, Brian >>> ______________________________________________ |
