Volks,

Still cant get the tach to work even after a installing a new (used) printed circuit.

All of the wiring around the inst. panel including grounds seems to be ok. However, the green wire that comes out of slot #9 on the wiring harness (for the tach, correct?) is spliced about two inches from the harness. The spliced wire goes under the van via a hole near the accelerator and travels all the way back towards the engine until it dies out...just hanging there attached to nothing (along with two other wires).

Is this splicing off the #9 normal? It doesn't seem so according to the wiring diagram in Bentley (but I dont really understand the diagram anyway).

Should there be a wire somewhere from the tach back to the engine? If so, where does it go, what color, etc...

BTW - using a get no reading with the engine on and the positive terminal in the #9 slot.

Thanks - at least I got the instrument lights working, didn't do anything accept poke around, but something musta moved...

Jeff
