Actually about 0.5 miles of the TransCanada (Hwy 1 just before crossing the bridge) is within the Corporate Limits of the City of Vancouver--and it is limited access (freeway) here. I think this makes Vancouver the largest city with the fewest freeway miles of any in North America. This is a Good Thing. Cars stop for pedestrians--what a concept! _____ Donald Baxter Iowa City, Iowa (319) 337-0494 www.mindspring.com/~onanov

Yeah, but Chris, there's not a freeway to be found in Vancouver anywhere! It takes like 4 hours to get across town! But you can signal a turn and be immediately let in at any time. Maybe the slow pace IS nirvana for vanagons after all..... bmc :) > From: Chris Stann <ChrisS@INFORMS.COM> > Reply-To: Chris Stann <ChrisS@INFORMS.COM> > Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 18:10:46 -0600 > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Crossing the Border the easy way |
