The "lighter = better acceleration" is not limited to
racing applications, it applies here as well since we
are after better performance. Aluminum is not
necessarily less sturdy than steel. I don't know if
the answer in this application. If proper engineering
produces a lighter but just as strong aluminum rocker,
then Pauter should come out on top here as it should in
theory perform a little better because it is lighter.

Roller bearings move easier than bushings and last
longer and are stronger, no? If true, then Pauter gets
the nod.

This should not affect decision on rockers because it
is so incidental to performance and cost is minimal or
nothing. The CB performance covers are clip on, not
bolt on and are only $16 if people do not want to do
the ball peen hammer trick.

I again think this should not affect decision since
incidental to performance, unless all else is equal. I
would prefer to go with the pre-cut pushrods no matter
which rockers we use.

If the aluminum is established to be an inferior choice
of materials over the hardened steel, then I say Berg.
If they are of roughly equal durability and the lighter
weight of the aluminum will indeed provide some
tangible performance advantage, then Pauter with Berg
push rods seems logical.
Rainer, what do you think? I know Tim likes the Pauter
and John Wessels uses and likes the Bergs.
