Hey Tim, I have a Tiico engine, and I use the snorkel, mainly because it came with the engine and seemed like the right thing to do. One problem I have is that the snorkel will shift over time and vibrate against the side of the body - loudly. I was just considering myself whether or not to keep it. I'm not really sure what it's function is anyway, as I usually don't drive through 3-foot deep water! As for the air filter, Peter B says someone is using a KN now, it's a number RU-3031 or something like that (Call Peter for details to be sure). It is a custom size, so the FLAPS will have to order it. Regarding power: even with the snorkel, it is nice. I routinely pass other cars going up mountains, and have hit highway speeds in excess of 100 mph/160 kph (not going downhill with a tailwind, either). You will be pleased when you get it installed. Enjoy your installation!
