However let's sort this out now.
How many here have rebuilt more than 30 waterboxers?
How many have rebuilt over 150 bus/van/syncro gearboxes
How many have made a tidy living fixing OTHER peoples VW and FI cars in
general
How many have put 911 engines in their vanagons (Not HIRED in, DIY)
How many are ASE master techs?
How many are ASE master machinists?
How many have taught automotive courses and advance engine machining?
How many have experience with marine gas/diesel and aircraft engines?
How many work on, install and modify gas and diesel heaters for VW's?
How many have modified the early breadloaf gearboxes to fit the 091 vanagon
case?
72 bus converted to fuel injection? 73 412 SW converted to 4 speed?Nissan
diesel to Land Rover? etc and etc.
Been at it for over 25 years?
Well there are many who have done this and more, but how many have done ALL
the above and are willing to share their knowledge and OPINIONS?
Let me count the hands I see up.....
right..
So I'd LOVE to share my knowledge but NOT if I'm the butt of the joke and
slapped around by people who just know it all.
Use me as a resource not a whipping post.
AND if you want to start flame wars, fine..do it on your OWN time!
