My opinion is that as good as full disclosure is I appreciate knowing about available parts and I do not need full disclosure. For me it is OK to announce available parts without disclosure of any kind. As I see it (as a newcomer to this list) there are many professional mechanics on this list who give advice for free when they could charge. It all balances out.

If someone needs to sell a few parts to get by and bet bread and butter on the table, more power to them

In this economy we are all trying to make a living and I for one do not hold it against anyone who makes an honest effort to inform about availability. Even if one was lurking for only capitalistic reasons this list often gives information that one did not know would be useful. Even a capitalistic motivated person might find useful information here. Besides Vanagon related stuff seems OK, even if it is for sale.

I got flamed on this list when I tried to sell seats with no takers (just jeers and ridicule,) then went to ebay and sold them in 2 days. I just had extra seats and did not know you all were so much more sophisticated them me.

To quote what's his name who got bashed by those racist cops, "Can't we just get along?"
