Hi all:
I lived in Mexico for 4 years... drove everywhere and never had a problem
with being asked for bribes from border agents at the border... but DO be
prepared to get hasseled in Mexico City and surroundings. Nothing you cant
handle, just remember that you are free to get assertive and NEGOTIATE.


I drove a 69 mustang all over most recently. Almost without exception if you
are going to be aggravated it will be on the US BORDER side... thos creeps
broke plastic pieces of my otherwise excellent Mustang's interior...but I
digress.


Note that the waterboxer , nor for that matter later type 2-4 aircooled
pancake engines, were not made or sold in Mexico so used spares are not
about. No vanagons either.
