<<From my experience McCullugh chain saws are the best for this type of cutting operation, however the dash is steel so you'll need an acetylene torch (flames begin...) for this job (Putting all aesthetics out of mind>>

Problem: Have neither the time nor patience to remove all the dash & stuff to replace it properly. Radical idea: Cut an "access panel" right in the top of the aluminum surface of the dash board, basically right where the ash tray and factory speaker live. Con-fab a way to open and close this panel, thus giving me easy access to ALL the stuff that is hiding below the dash. I guess the first question is: With such an opening, would it even be possible to get to the blower motor from above? Putting all aesthetics out of mind (I can hide the panel with a creative dash covering), what do you guys think about this hare-brained scheme? Let the flames begin...
