Subject: Part # for deceleration/idle switch on an 84
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I went to my dealer to get a new full throttle enrichment switch and a deceleration/idle switch for my 84. The part numbers were changed and the new dec/idle switch has a longer medal piece that will not fit. It rubs against the intake air sensor. My questions are: Is 411-927-211 the switch I need? It would work if I cut the metal bar down to size. Why do they change part numbers? My original switches number is 003-927-211 it would seem if they kept this number I would not be in this dilemma. Thanks for any insight, Jim Gregory
