I second that! You must be resourceful, doing so does not also mean having to compromise. I had some problems with my orignal Subaru exhaust design on my syncro, what did I do? Purchase $250 mufflers, NO!, I went to NAPA or any other auto parts store with a sizeable warehouse and took the dimensions from the broken muffler and matched it to a generic muffler in their catalog. Did the same when I put in my brass rear heater core. Both work great (or better) and at a fraction of the cost.
