I'm down to final negotiations with my insurance company on my '85 Westy that was totaled last month in a roll-over. I'll be getting the Westy and will be parting it out.

I'm willing to negotiate very reasonable prices on whatever you need. I'm also looking for someone that wants the whole thing for around $2000.

This is going to be a "do it yourself" project for people that need the parts. I won't be able to remove items myself, and I'm going to have to rent storage for a month or so.

The Westy will be located somewhere around Lynnwood, WA (20 miles north of Seattle).

I have put up pictures of the Westy as is it now and a spreadsheet showing all the work that had been done on it on my Website, http://home.ix.netcom.com/~lbusch/.

Go to the bottom of the first page and there are links to the page of pictures (Westy Lament and Westy History). The spreadsheet even shows the milage since the work was done.

Highlights: New 1.9L engine with 6550 miles on it. This included all exhaust components including Cat Conv, all new cooling plumbing, new radiator, complete new water pump, etc, etc, etc. Work order available.

Also note that there was no damage to the front or rear: All light and trim are good. There was no damage to most o the interior except a lot of water has gotten into the front (seatsm carpet, instrument cluster) No damage to stove, refrig, or batteries. (This has an aux battery with solid state isolator). Both front and rear bumpers are fine, rear was new a year and a half ago. Top has minor damage, gel coat scraped off in one spot but no breaks in the shell that I could see.

The tires are Michelin MXT and are superb, only about 4400 miles on the rears, more on the fronts.

Tranny was rebuilt about 35,000 miles ago.

Please contact by e-mail or LL (425-771-3646) with questions, I'll try to work with you as best as I can.

I'm trying to do this ASAP to put the money with the rest of the insurance settlement and start shopping for the replacement!!!!
