In the past I have been a list manager using the majordomo software. its not hard to create and manage list groups. what if the vanagon community created more specific lists. there could be a forsale list and a humor list etc. many of the usenet groups have broken out interest into subsets like hardware, software, developers, forsale etc.

the archives could lump all the groups together for searching needs.

something to consider at some point.
