I usually try to stay out of discussions like this, but I just felt I had to give my input. I have re-read Peter's original post (with pertinent section pasted below) and he is not talking about list-wide censorship. He is simply asking for folks who post the ocasional off-topic content to add a "key word" or two to the subject so that those who do not wish to read the possibly offensive post can better filter it out using their own mail software. Peter is by no means advising Tom to do all the filtering, nor is he advising Tom set up said filtering on Gerry.
