When I got my 86 Van, it had an aftermarket cruise control installed, and over time, some of the wires broke, it wasn't working and was shorting out my brake lights. Unplugged it and removed it, and the lights began working fine. However, when I removed the cylinder mounted in the rear wheel well area, there was a hose that ran from what I believe to be a carbon canister (round canister, two hoses attached, right behind the coil). The emissions diagram shows this second hose running to what appears to be the intake manifold.... Where does it connect?? Also, in the wheel well of the driver's side, front wheel, there is a plate (looks like it was installed from someone BESIDSE the factory, only held in place by one screw) that has a box with a 5 wire connector attached to it, and a cable (some sort of mechanical sender) attached to it. Is this all part of the cruise also? The connector was unplugged and the van has run fine, can I pull all of that crap out? What type/grade of oil should I use in my 2.1l. Don't have the owners manual! Thanks again, you all have become a goldmine of information! Matthew |
