Yipes- not another tire thread, and started by an old timer, too!

Anyway, my Carat owning friend has sidewall damage on two of his Michelin MXT 205/70/14 load rated 99. No one seems to make a 205/70/14 with a load rating of 97 or more anymore.

One very reputable local dealer suggested using two 95 rated Michelin rain forces on the front, where the load would be lighter. What do you think ?

Only other choice seems to be to buy four new narrower tires. He is not up for it.

Any other ideas?
