The fingers on the clutch cross shaft that hold the throw out bearing tend to wear unevenly. When new they are parallel arcs, but they wear flat and become out of plane as one wears more than the other, which allows the throwout bearing to press the clutch unevenly, which causes clutch chatter and short clutch life. This is typical at 150k+ miles. Have those fingers reground on your original German shaft, as the Mexican replacement shafts are junk right out of the box. Worn shaft bushings can also allow misalignment so if there is much slack there, replace them as well. T.P. Stephens Doktor Tim's
