Be a lot easier to just mount an external Sun or whatever on top. I think. Then you'll still have that nice clock, too. Otherwise you'll need to completely wire the temp gauge, fuel gauge, tach from scratch since the circuit foils won't fit. Possible but maybe non-trivial.

Tach itself (external or otherwise) only needs +12, ground, wire from ign. coil, +lead for lighting.
