I received my Quebec drivers licence this morning, but when I went to change the registration/insurance of my westy from BC to Quebec I was told I need a "Safety" (this was not mentioned when I called to make the appointment).

I went to a testing station and asked if the front heater blower was on the list of items tested - it is :-(

Now, the problem is, the BC registration/insurance runs out on Christmas day!

As the testing stations are closed from Christmas Eve until the new year the most likely outcome is that I'll have to arrange an extra month's rego/insurance in BC (no big deal, I discussed this with the broker at the time I purchased the van in September). But I thought I'd check the list in case there is someone who has a spare blower in their (Montreal) garage, or if anyone knows of a mechanic who could source and install it in time.

Thanks, Julian.
