Subject: Unusual door lock features
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Speaking of unusual door lock features I discovered one today.

I ahve an Alpine alarm system on my van and still am learning about it as it sometimes goes off if I do something of which I am unaware .

Today I discovered as I opened the driver's door and the alarm went off AGAIN!!! that the doors will not lock with the remote keyless locking device if any of the doors is ajar. Another safety feature I suppose. The door locks will not stay down unless all doors are securely closed. (This way if a thief thinks he or she is in luck the alarm sounds.)

So I am learning to look as I press my remote locking button. If the door locks pop up again then this is my signal that one of the doors is not closed all the way.

Live and learn.
