Hi

Lucky me I've got the GL (Grand Luxe) with the power windows. The windows are nice but I wished that there was a manual crank insert to run it when it goes cafloouey. The other morning I wasn't paying attention and my windows were iced up. When I tried to open the driver's side by pressing the little toggle switch the passenger side freed itself but the drivers side wouldn't budge and I heard a big "Snap" in the door. BY the afternoon it had warmed up and thawed and the window went up and down but with a crunchy grindy sound. It did not move very quickly nor would it come all the way back up. I opened up the door pannel and was able by pushing up on the window to get the motor to bring it up.

My question to the list is: Can the funky cables that run the window up and down be repaired and tightened up or do I have to get the entire new mechanism. The motor appear OK and runs up and down. Just the cabling does not work right.

Thanks in advance,

Joel Cort 89 Syncro Westy Rochester NY
