Hi, I just bought a 1985 Westfalia and love it - I'm afraid my 1980 was consumed in flames to I'm going to be much more careful with this one (you can see the other one at http://www.onwatersports.com/van.html). While I live in WA, I'm in the Hollywood area for a couple of months. I'd like to find a local mechanic to do a basic tune up, although in the long run I want to do my own. Also, any ideas why the front heater fan doesn't come on? I'll need it to defrost the windshield eventually. The air conditioning doesn't work, although I'm not so sure I care. The van's physical condition is immaculate, and it has had the transmission, clutch, rack and pinion and many other things replaced. Five brand steel belted truck tires. Has blue coolant, might neeed a change there..... Can't think of anything else; I'm planning to drive to Pismo Beach on Monday!
