My main reason for posting is because when I had my new bearing races pressed in and then went to install they were too small. After some research by Ken Wilford (blessed be thy name) he discovered that VW changed front wheel bearing sizes late in the 85 production year. The second set he sent me fit perfect but how could we have known that? Just by the VIN # I suppose. Make sure you get the right ones first or its a PITA.
