I may have answered my own question about CV grease. I was so impressed with the Red Line gear oil I recently put in my tranny that I called up the local supplier just 20 miles from me.

They sell Red Line CV-2 grease in those 14 OZ paper tubes you use in the mini grease gun for $9.95 or in tubs for the same price. They say this will do 4 CV joints.

That's enough to do my needle method fix for now and a whole overhaul come later.

I'm going to go with the Red Line product. Good price and good reputation.

Now to assemble the tools I'll need and try to overcome any tendency to procrastinate the complete overhaul. I may just try one CV at a time.

The archives provided a lot of helpful information but there is a lot to wade through.
