Subject: Re: Oil Pressure Light in 85 GL
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Happy Holidays, everyone.

I am seeing the same quirk you are, Chad. My ignition "on" bulb test glow (for OP) is non-existent, though. I believe the OP light should glow with the alt. and O2 bulbs when the key is turned to the "on" position. Any simple suggestions out there for a rookie do-it-yourselfer with limited tools/resources? (suggestions related to the solution of the problem at hand :) ) Would installing a custom oil pressure gauge, and forgetting about the stock idiot light be cost-effective or at least close to genius?

Could the malfunctioning back-light of this same panel (HL, TS, OP, ALT, O2) be directly related to the OP light problem?

Thanks, Jeremy 85 GL
