Hold out for a few more months and you'll be able to get a better price. In the interim period you can wear thermal underwear and get some of those 12v electric socks from the BMW motorcycle dealer. I'm in Texas and I bought one 83 Westy seven years ago for $2000.00. It has been well worth it since it was a very good, one owner, well maintained vehicle. However I've restored about four 80-83 Westies and sold them in the $3500.00 range. The sorrowful thing is that I've wrecked out about four Vanagons of 80-83 Vintage for parts and I've never paid more than $250.00 for any of the Vanagons and some of them ran pretty good.
