Subject: Kumho RoadVenture ST Tires

The tires do have a nylon sidewall reinforcement band. > > The specs are as shown on the Kumho Website here: > http://www.kumhotireusa.com/pdf_files/787back.pdf > > Size: P215/70R14 > Load Rating: 96 > Speed Rating: S > Design Rim Width 6.5" > Overall Diameter: 25.9" > Section Width: 8.7" > Tread Depth: 11/32" > RPM: 805 > U.T.Q.G.: 420AB > This tire is not anything special. virtually EVERY 215/70-14 tire has a load rating of 96. My Cooper Lifeliner's do and my Sears Superguard GT's do. Lots of passenger tires (which this is (note the 'P')) have a max psi of 44. My Cooper Lifeliners do as do many others. I would not put much faith in the stated 'reinforcement band' - that could mean anything. I'd look more for at least 2 sidewall plies and four tread plies. I'd be curious as to how they ride.
