All, I believe I am the person who started the "Front Bearing Saga", which, by the way, is still going on... (I hate the fact that I have to work because it gets in the way of repair time on our beloved Vanagon.) I will be taking the newly bought BernzOmatic torch and the second (and bigger) cold chisel to it today after work. Will report more after... O-yea, my milage is 156K on the assumed original front bearings.
