Subject: Thank-you ... Re: Stuck rear brakes on '85 Westy?
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Thank-you to everyone who replied on getting my bus going.

I wrote down your suggestions and started with the gentlest one first. I crawled underneath the bus and "wiggled" the parking brake cable. I then removed the chocks, put her in reverse and "popped" him free.

I'm very relieved (visions of expensive repairs were dancing in my head). The brakes were rough for the first couple of stops but have quickly returned to smooth and quiet. Next sunny day I'll take a peak at the condition of the pads and drums.

Thanks once more. The vanagon listserver comes through, again!
