Kevin; As I understand it; running at below proper operating temperature causes the engine to run rich. This in turn washes down the cylinder walls(of oil) causing greater ring wear and a host of other problems. On the flip side this may be a solution for Boston Bob's lean running problem. Increase/add resistance to the TEMPII sensor, fooling the ECU to run richer!?
