Timing is set at 7.5 btdc at 1000 rpm..............spot on............. The above timing is supposed to be 7.5 at 800-900 with the vacuum line dis connected. I think you got low vacuum if the idle adjusting screw doesn't have any effect. This could be valve afjustment, leaky lines or the seal at the throttle body and the air box is split / leaking.
