I was happily driving my new '85 on the LA freeway yesterday in (unhappily) bad stop-and-go traffic. I was speeding up in third and getting ready to shift into fourth when it unexpectedly lost power, suddenly, like a burp. I made it home but am worried - it didn't seem to like the steep hill and I had to baby it on up in second. This van had a good compression test some six months ago and doesn't have any obvious problems (oil and water stay at their levels). Thanks, Andree |
