Subject: Strange Electrical Problem
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I am experiancing a strange electrical problem with my 87 Syncro Camper. The problem is so specific that it could only have one cause( I hope).

I had been driving for several hours at night with the lights on. I pulled in to a rest area for 5 minutes and then the headlights would not turn on. all running lights work and the high beams turn on only if I hold the lever. Also, the windshield wipers and the heater blower no longer work. Later I found that the wipers and blower will work if I pull and hold the high beam swich. If i then toggle the swich (off, then on again) the wipers and blower do not work. If I toggle it again, then they do work.

Does this sound fimaliar to anyone? Any thoughts or ideas?

I am suspecting the light swich but before I go replacing anything, I thought I'd ask the list.

Thanks for the help

Brett Anderson
