Well we made it home okay. Left Phoenix fully loaded with even more Christmas gifts, drove north on I-17 to Flagstaff, then East on I-40 to Oklahoma City, then North on I-35 to Kansas City. Spent the night in Erick, OK in the middle of nowhere. Snow in Flagstaff and a bad snow storm in OK. Cars where in the ditches left and right. We hit ice on an overpass but fortunately were able to stay on the road. I already saw myself being broadsided by the 18-wheeler tailing me. No mechanical problems, just the darn' bucking occasionally. Gas mileage bewteen 15-21 mpg. Kept the van above 80mph between Flagstaff and Erick,Ok., and through Kansas. Hope you all had a splendid holiday. Cheers, Hermann de Boer 87 Westy GL I-4 Eurospec
