Brad, The good part: This is not a 'Vanagon Only' symptoms - most other cars will fail the same way. The bad part: It sure sounds like your alternator just bit the dust. This would cause NO electrical power to the rest of the components, like the lights or the starter. Sounds like you may need a new alternator for your van. Good luck and Happy new Year.
