Hello All, I have a 84 Vanagon and a 84 GL Vanagon. The first 84 will stop and jerk etc. The second was fine (currently changing transmission). I notice that the lever on the spring around the throttle area sits in entirely different positions between the two buses. The one that works holds the lever clockwise at about 1pm. The one that doesn't seem to be working doesn't hold it counterclock wise. It just seems to sit at about 7pm on the face of a clock. I think I saw someone on the list mention that they had cleaned the intake or something. What's going on with the intake area there? I properly adjusted the throttle idle switch and see that this lever would effect the switches closing or opening from the intake pressure. What do you think? Where does this lever sit on your buses? Thanks in advance. John |
