If you were wondering how to mount your I-Opener in your van (and not how to mount your HD in your I-Opener), I have some ideas:

Make a replacement for the front table surface, to use specially for your I-Opener.

Route a depression in it, the same shape as the I-opener base, or just drill 2 holes to put the metal legs in and abandon the plastic base.

While you're making this table, consider putting suitable holes in it so you can use it as a cupholder.

Oh, in case it isn't obvious, you must set up/rotate the table so it is between the front seats. That way you can also use it for GPS or to drive a 3 or 5 speaker computer-type stereo. Or you can have the I-Opener facing backwards, and use it to play DVD's to your kinder, (if you can figure out how to connect the DVD - I cannot remember if there is a spare IDE channel or not.

If you know what you are doing with electronics, the I-Opener can be powered from 12 Volts DC. I'd make a separate fused 12 volt circuit for it, so it doesn't crash when you turn off your car.

(By the way, when I hacked my I-Opener (mine now has Windows and a hard drive) I din't replace the bios chip - I just overwrote it.)

Good luck!
