I agree with Adam about the "instruction manual". It leaves a lot to be desired. And, I agree that it took a long time for *all* of the kit parts to finally arrive (and at the end, I ended up with extra parts I didn't need). However, I do not agree with his assessment that this job is way beyond the capabilities of most of the people on this list. I had never dropped the engine on my Vanagon before. But, for me the installation went easily (though I have to say that I wasn't in a hurry, and that can take a lot of pressure off). I was mostly concerned with fitting up the wiring harness, but that is easy too.

I have asked Peter about availability of some of the unique pieces that will eventually wear out: hoses and such. He says that he should be stocking them soon. I hope his version of soon is sometime before I need a piece.
