Happy New Year to all !!

Anyone know of a reason NOT to use the hot (battery) connection on the back of the alternator for a temporary power connection while testing a tach to see if it works.

I do not currently have a tach or wiring in my 83 and am testing a tach before I go through the wiring routine. I'm in the Northeast and wishing I had a heated garage--or ANY garage for that matter.

May the New Year bring you great finds at low prices and no need to be in the back of your Bus except to play!!
