Subject: stock speakers, fry-day fun

Somebody mentioned replacing their stock speakers. I've got an older mid/low power (common ground) jensen cassette deck and I replaced the stock rear speakers in my Westy with 6.5" Blaupunkts. Needed to cut the AC pod a bit and install wooden spacers behind the speakers but they fit. The sound quality is much improved but the volume output is substantially less. You may discover that after you upgrade your speakers you need to upgrade your stereo or buy an amp. In retrospect maybe i should have left the stock speakers in.

What's in my cassette deck? "Shape Shifter" - Quicksilver "Hooteroll?" - Garcia & Wales Late 60's grateful dead bootlegs (about a dozen) "Flash" - Moving Sidewalks "Teacher don't teach me no nonsense" - Fela Anakupalo Kuti "Beasts of no nation" -Fela Anakupalo Kuti "Forces of Victory" - Linton Kwesi Johnson "Out of their skulls" - pirates A couple others i can't remember And just to annoy fellow passengers: a tape of Hare Krishna chanting and "Lie" by Charles Manson.
